With my older bike, I was concerned finding a great tire. I called all the manufacturers to get a recommended tire. Most suggested I get with my local shop to get product information. When I called Avon, my call was transferred to the engineering department and I talked to a person who knew the product inside and out. He suggested Azaro-ST which had been updated to newer compounds to better accommodate the type of commuting I do. He explained multiple compounds and how they would allow me to ride in rain as well as drag the pegs when I wanted. I have over 5K on these and going strong. I will probably need a new rear tire in a couple thousand more. I have recommended these to every friend I have. And if you have an older CBR/Hurricane, you can forget all the other brands. I will look nowhere else but Avon to provide my tires!

I got these tires hoping for extra miles without sacrificing too much in performance. The tires did not disappoint. The Azaro’s were excellent in all road and weather conditions, from potholed city streets to the open road, rain or shine. I was heading toward 8K miles when a nail cut the journey short, but there was still plenty of tread left. A terrific all around tire.

I couldn’t be happier with the performance of the Azaros on my Concours. I’ve tried other brands but the Azaros make the bike come alive. No matter the conditions, the Azaros just plain stick to the road. Wet pavement traction is absolutely phenomenal! Avon customer service is top notch. I recently purchased another set of Azaros and had the bad luck of picking up a screw within the first few miles. Avon provided me with a no cost replacement under their road hazard warranty. No other company that I’m aware of offers this program. Great tires and great customer service.

I have a short video of my new tires on You Tube. Called (Knee Down Kawasaki Concours 1987 ZG1000) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoweksIXiu0 My old bike feels brand new. My new tires give lots of grip which in turn gives you a lot of confidence. My 750 pound bike feels like a sportbike. I have an Azaro on the rear and Storm on the front.

A buddy talked me and another guy into going to VMD at Mid-Ohio. Roughly 930 miles, each way. We made the run in a day and a half; the same on the return. The tires were, as usual, transparent. They are so good that I never really think about them. Just ride, you know? The best part of the trip was when we pulled in to the paddock, looking for the Triumph display, we were invited to join the parade laps on the track! There I was, saddlebags, tankbag, tent, sleeping bag and pad, steaming around the racetrack! Great fun!

Due for new tires on my 20 year old bike, I searched for all the tires that came in the appropriate size for my “Old School” sport bike. I wanted to go radial, though heavily swayed to not do that, and wrote all the companies that had my size. Avon was the only company to respond! I found a dealer online, and bought the Azaro’s. These have been phenomenal tires. Great grip, excellent handling, and are lasting very well. Thanks for you support! Joe

I replaced the Pilot Sports on my ‘01 ST4 with Azaro ST’s. After 8 months I bought a 2004 ST4S and replaced the new Michelin’s with Azaro ST’s. I put the new Michelins on the ‘01 bike. I could have used the new bike with stock Michelins, but why ride with Michelins when I could use the far superior Avons, saving money at the cost of my riding experience, not to mention the safety factor didn’t appeal to me. I made the right choice. I have ridden with the ST tires for 2 years, (5000 to 8000 miles each pair).

Bike came with Metzelers as standard. They wore down to 2.5 mm in less than 2500 miles of regular highway use. I swapped them for Avons, (Promo from my local dealer) and I’m blown away by how positive they feel when cornering, and in a straight line. I’m at 3000 miles now and they still feel great! The OE tyres were a sports compound, while the Avons are a touring tire.I have noticed no loss of grip and they wear much better than the OE’s. These tyres are good for me!

I have tried two different brands of tires prior to the Azaros. What an improvement in ride quality. The Azaros stick to the road no matter what the conditions are. I have ridden through some pretty serious rainstorms where there was no place to stop. No choice but to ride on. The Avons held the road well and provided me with the confidence I needed to continue. It looks like they will easily exceed the mileage of the previous brands. I have approx 12,000 kms on them now and they still have a lot of life left.

We are fortunate here on Vancouver Island that we can ride year round even if the winters are a bit damp. I have used up three sets of Azaro STs. All have gone between 18,000 and 20,000 Kms. Not a problem with any of them. They work exceptionally well in the wet and cold. A good 75% of the distance covered has been two up. There have been times we have ridden in 40 deg C. Absolutely no signs of tire fatigue or abnormal wear. By far the best tires I have had the privilege to ride on.

I purchased the 46ST and 45 ST …. 5500 miles on my 700lbs GTS-1000. The hardest riding I’ve ever done to my tires. 100+ MPH in 90 degree heat, driven from CO to western NY…mostly highway miles. This includes peg scraping in some turns (Colorado spoiled me…and the tires are very confidence inspiring) which is something I have never done. Overall the longest lasting tire I’ve owned. I have since convinced 3 other GTS owners to try them…their response has also been very favorable. If we can get close to 10K miles out of the rear…I’ll be happy

My VFR felt so nimble but stable with the Avons over a variety of different pavement surfaces. I was very pleased. I inspected the tires closely after I tore up highway 70 along the feather river with full luggage and a passenger in ambient temps of 90 degrees F. The road is a blessing of high speed sweeping turns. The rear showed signs of predicable wear all the way to the edge but held up remarkably well. Avon’s the right tool for the job for sport touring.

Because I live in New England, I couldn’t push the tires much because of road conditions (salt and sand). Now that spring is finally here in New England, and the roads are in pretty good shape, I am better able to appreciate the handling qualities of the tires. In a few words, the bike (95 Kawasaki Concours) has NEVER handled this good! I have had Dunlop and Michelin tires installed in the past but the bike never performed this well either straight line or through turns. I can’t thank you enough for the great customer service and your great product

I wanted to drop you a note to say just how pleased I have been with my tires. I have completed 4400+ miles in nine days fully loaded. The tires ran through desert, coastal roads, mountains, et al. Their wet-pavement traction is phenomenal. I found myself purposely trying to make them slip in rain-soaked curves. Neither tire even bobbled. I got 7500 miles out of that set and have replaced them with the same. Please keep up the good work as I have no plans to sell my bike anytime soon!

Just a note to say what a happy customer I am. My brother and I just completed a coast-to-coast-to-coast ride on our 2000 Ducati ST2 motorcycles. We started out on new AV 45/46 tires. After 7639 brutal miles I’m back home and still show 3/32″ of tread at the center of my rear tire. We rode through everything from torrential rain, 90F plus heat in the desert, to snow. The tires performed perfectly and inspired confidence in our ability to safely finish our trip.

I just wanted to let you know about my experience with these tires on my 2002 BMW R1150RT. I have used most of the brands of tires suited for this motorcycle. I have determined that average tire life for me is somewhere between eight and nine thousand miles. I have been using your tires now for two to three years. I just had the tires changed on the bike and they had just over 13,600 miles. I am very happy with the handling of these tires also. I definitely will continue to recommend these tires to anyone who will listen.

I purchased Azaro AV45-ST & AV46-ST for my Concours. THESE AVONS ARE FANTASTIC ! The ride and handling is far superior to anything I have tried, significantly better than OEM Dunlops. The improvement in the way the bike handles in the “twisties” makes the bike feel lighter. Once I get into corners the “feel” is so neutral and reassuring with no surprises or wobbly feeling like some of the other tires I have tried. Further, they wear well. The front Azaro does not exhibit any “cupping” that Concours riders complain about with OE Dunlops.
