STOW, OH – Avon Motorcycle Tyres North America was the tire sponsor for the 2010 Garage-Girls Ultimate Biker Makeover awarded at the 2010 Carlisle Bike Fest that took place July 22-25 in Carlisle, Pa. Contest entrants were required to submit a letter (600 words or less) telling the Garage-Girls why they felt they would be most deserving of the Ultimate Biker Makeover.
Grand Prize Winner, David Bardwell from Texas, had a touching story. Bardwell recently lost his job with Chevrolet, and later, his home. In addition, Bardwell had also suffered through some health problems during the same time period. Although the family had to part with many of their possessions as a result of the changes in their circumstances, they kept their family motorcycle because it had always been a welcome escape. The Bardwell family’s Victory motorcycle received a set of new Avon Motorcycle tires, a new two-up seat from Mustang, new shocks from Progressive Suspension and great accessories from Kuryakyn.
